Position Summary: The Prep Cook supports the kitchen in all aspects of meal preparation, service and clean up.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Help prepare all meals as assigned by lead kitchen staff
- Assist in meal line serving and supply including using proper portioning utensils
- Assist with receiving, verifying and proper storage of food orders daily
- Clean and sanitize all areas in the kitchen including storage, prep, and cooking areas also taking out trash
- Wash all used items, put away when dry
- Wash, dry and fold kitchen laundry
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Previous food service experience preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
- Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
