Job Description
Position Responsibilities
Work closely with production management to engineer, design, plan and implement projects.
Design of manufacturing or processing facilities, either new or modifications to and expansions of existing facilities.
Perform calculations, write specifications, prepare bids, review equipment proposals and evaluate or select equipment.
Prepare various lists, such as equipment and materials lists, and creating drawings such as electrical, piping and instrumentation diagrams, physical layouts and other drawings used in design and construction.
Gather information from a variety of sources, study problems, break them down into component parts and recommend solutions to coordinate elements by applying advanced analytical techniques and methods from a variety of disciplines including mathematics, science and engineering.
Projects to include business case development, project planning and management, requirements gathering, functional specification documentation, solution design, test planning, test execution, status updates, deployment, and post-deployment support.
evelop project teams, define and manage scopes, build project schedules, operate within budgets, establish project success metrics, and manage expectations of change.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of each project’s scope, risk and budget while ensuring all documents are current, complete and stored appropriately
Anticipates project delays and adjusts expectations, schedules, and resources to stay on course.
Closely coordinates and controls project change requests with functional users.
Collaborates with the stakeholders across departments and promotes project success through development of subject matter expert relationships.
Accountable and responsible for precisely communicating risks, issues or opportunities that cannot be resolved or acted upon at the project level.
Required Education and Skills
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical, or Engineering Technology; MBA a plus.
Proficient computer skills in MS Office, Auto CAD, Solidworks.
Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6-month time span and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Highly motivated, self-driven, individual with a strong desire to succeed and eager to enhance knowledge and skills through on-going education and development.
Must be creative, inquisitive, analytical, and detail oriented with a mechanical aptitude.
Ability to apply engineering and technical/mechanical knowledge sufficient to render original and ingenious advice or service and make judgments involving engineering problems.
