Job Summary

A field service technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. A field service technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics as required to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.

Essential Duties

· Perform inspections, repairs and maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists, below the hook devices and other lifting devices.

· Serve as an on site service technician to provide after hours service, as required.

· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.

· Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer in repairing and inspecting equipment as needed.

· Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle and assets in a safe and proper working order; operate tools, vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

· Follow all safety policies and procedures established by Ace Industries and our customers.

· Maintain regular communication with the Service Manager in regards to assigned jobs, scheduling, required PPE and vehicle repairs.

· Perform JHAs and DVIRs as required.

· Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs for customers.

· Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions;

 

suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.

· Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations, performing OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections, documenting and completing warranty work, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and responding to emergency service/breakdown calls.

· Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.

· Builds and maintains customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customer of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner.

· Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance and organization in all areas.

· Attend required safety meetings.

· Other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., but this is a 24/7 service position. This position sometimes requires long hours (up to but not to exceed 14 hours) and rarely weekend work.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business days. You must reside within 80 miles of site location. (Springerville, AZ) i.e. (All in AZ) Springerville, Show Low, St. Johns, Concho, Snowflake, Alpine. Location must be agreed upon.
