The maternity area of FirstHealth has recently been renovated that includes ten triage and nine beautiful, labor and delivery birthing suites. We also have a 23-bed mother-baby unit where our model of care is couplet-care. We keep mother and baby together continuously, without separation, unless medical needs arise.
Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required. Labor and Delivery and/or Post Partum experience required.
To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with FirstHealth of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date.
