We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and hands-on Permanent Production Manager for our Wood Facility in the Manufacturing industry. This position is integral to our company's success, ensuring that our production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and of the highest quality. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, from raw materials to finished products, and will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and process management initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage a team of supervisors, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth operations across multiple shifts.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Manage production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing overtime and costs.
  • Monitor and control production costs, implementing cost-saving strategies where possible.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, logistics, and procurement, to ensure a seamless flow of information and materials.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a production leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience managing supervisors and leading a team across multiple shifts.
  • Extensive knowledge of wood or forest products is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement and process management initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as manufacturing, engineering, or business management would be advantageous, but is not essential.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and other relevant computer applications.
