Production Manager

The production manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost effective production of a variety of crop protection chemicals. The positions oversees all aspects of the production process, including formulation, packaging, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. The position is responsible for optimizing efficiency and ensuring annual productivity goals are achieved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.
• Direct and monitor plant production to efficiently meet customer requirements.
• Organize and control maintenance functions to optimize cost and reliability.
• Coordinate with the corporate human resources staff to identify, analyze, and resolve personnel issues, in order to ensure an effective and motivated work force.
• Provide corporate production management with accurate and timely information, in order to facilitate effective decisions and actions.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements regulating plant operation, distribution of product, and management of employees.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in an Operations, Maintenance, or Technical leadership position.
• Demonstrated commitment to EH&S excellence.
• Proven leadership, communication and supervisory skills.
• Sound working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations including manufacturing and packaging.
• Overall understanding of crop protection chemicals is preferred.
