Inventory Associate
Merritt Island, FL / Role is for C Shift (Wednesday - Sunday 6am - 4:30pm)

Bluehawk Consulting is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support our client, an aerospace leader. Our client is making space travel possible, and your work will directly support putting people, research, and products safely in space.

Project Overview
This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling our client's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and inventory skills. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of a robust materials management process that reflects best practices, to include material purchasing, handling, storage, control, and distribution of MRO inventory.
  • Identify critical spares in inventory. Locate and label parts.
  • Perform cycle and annual inventory counts in accordance with count schedule. Research discrepancies in cycle and inventory counts.
  • Kit parts to work orders. To include physically pulling, packaging, labeling and electronically transacting parts from inventory.
  • Inspect and receive parts returning to stock from work orders.
  • Process purchase requisitions and place purchase orders as needed.
  • Work with Quality and Purchasing teams to resolve items with procurement and quality issues. Follow up with purchase team for returns (warranty, RMA).
  • Develop, trend, and report material management KPIs to track performance.
  • Assure all materials and tools properly charged out.
  • Locate the correct parts efficiently and distribute to production or maintenance personnel.
  • Keep track of all products and supplies, ensuring that stock is organized, and may assist in the unloading and processing of deliveries.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices (5S).
  • Prepare purchase orders for parts/equipment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of Office Suite, and familiar with Inventory software (Maximo preferred).
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a Refugee or granted asylum.
Education

Desired Education
  • B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field preferred.
