ILS SME

ILS SME, Req. 2100

The ILS SME coordinates the revision of reports, catalogs, blueprints and operational data across the company. ILS SME researches data relating to sustainment of aircraft support equipment.

Essential Functions:
* Revises or writes standardized materials for reports, manuals, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.
* Accesses manufacturers' catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance and service of equipment.
* Interview production and engineering personnel.
* Study blueprints and other technical schematics.
* Lead prototype and validation efforts.
* Provide 2nd level quality control of all publications generated for contract deliverables.
* Fill in for ILS Program Managers during project meetings when needed.
* Train department personnel in the proper usage of logistics automated tools.
* Advise as the subject matter expert in all platform publication requirements to include existing formats and content.
* Serve as subject matter expert on equipment sustainability analysis.
* Lead analysis for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages.
* Performs other duties as assigned.



Education:
* Bachelors of Science Degree and/or equivalent experience.

Experience:
o Two years Program Management Experience Required
o MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project required
o Experience in one or more of the following:
o Acquisition Logistics
o Strategic Planning
o Production Management
o 15+ years USAF experience within Logistics: Maintenance / Supply career field.
o Must be able to obtain secret security clearance.
o Travel to Saudi Arabia required.
