Requirements:

A successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
  • Valid Louisiana clinical license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker: LCSW, Licensed Professional Counselor: LPC, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist: LMFT)
  • Three years of clinical experience
  • Three years of clinical supervision experience
  • 1-2 years of management experience in behavioral health services
  • Knowledge of diverse modalities of counseling and diagnostic principles
  • Demonstrated belief in a recovery focused, trauma informed, strengths-based approach to treatment
  • Ability to build & manage strong teams to meet performance goals

 

Essential:

  • Consistently strives to enhance the program compliance, effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Assures that clients receive individualized/customized services
  • Provides therapyAssures clients receive services in a timely manner.
  • Is effective liaison with outside clinical professionals, including psychiatrists.
  • Coordinates and manages the integration of all service lines and is creative in meeting the needs of clients.
  • Supervises team on licensed and non-licensed mental health professionals
  • Completes intakes: Including Diagnostic Assessment and Personal Plans
  • Assesses incoming referrals for treatment needs and refers to the appropriate level of care.
  • Plans and coordinates all admissions and acts as the “concierge” to ensure that the admissions process proceeds smoothly.
  • Ensures policies, procedures and protocols are followed.
  • Demonstrates consistent leadership and training skills that motivate subordinates to perform at peak abilities
  • Ensures team members are able to achieve highest level of growth and development.
  • Reviews current work schedule to maintain adequate staffing of each department at all times, approves employee timesheets and paid time off requests, and supervises the execution of weekly productivity and staff deliverables.
  • Provides direct supervision, coaching and clear instruction of work load assignments to staff/interns resulting in effective and efficient daily operations by providing effective services that meet the special needs of the residents in the program.
  • Acts as on call designee for emergencies or assigns on call designee when personally unavailable.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with the Administrator and Managers about all actual or potential problems or issues that could result in risk exposure or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Meets regularly with staff to discuss challenges, successes, enhance effectiveness and efficiency of procedures and operation of the program.
  • Effectively manages resources to meet the needs of residents while reducing staff and resource waste.
  • Audits and reviews department to ensure efficiency and compliance with time sheets, reports, documentation, regulatory agencies and policies and procedures
  • Maintains referral and client database.
  • Builds commitment and overcomes resistance by being respectful to everyone’s input.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectively and openness to others’ views; gives and welcomes feedback; puts team success over own interests.
  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests and meets commitments.
  • Provides a formal written performance evaluation of all supervised staff according to the policy.

 

Additional:

  • Periodically provides presentations regarding program services and participates in tours.
  • Ensures follow up with referral sources following admissions into program, discharges, and during treatment process.
  • Assists with conferences and marketing activities and facilitates referral development contacts in coordination with the Marketing Team. Attends conferences as requested.
  • Attends all supervisory trainings within assigned time frames as required by the facility.
  • Reviews posted material, such as: new policies, procedures or protocols, staff development announcements, communication log etc, employee handbooks.
