Awaken your potential as a Maintenance Mechanic at our progressive manufacturing plant. This role allows you to leverage your skills and contribute to essential preventative maintenance, mechanical machine repairs, equipment inspections, and dedicated project work. Your role is critical to maintaining and improving the functioning of the entire plant, keeping Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR) at the forefront.

As part of our team, you'll uphold our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and reflect the company’s key values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety for others.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems
• Use a variety of machine tools to repair or fabricate components
• Troubleshoot production and facility equipment to ensure operational efficiency
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas
• Successfully operate various material handling equipment
• Support the predictive and preventative maintenance program
• Actively participate in and support all plant initiatives
• Follow safety and quality food production policies and practices

Candidate Expectations:
• Capable of managing tasks with minimal supervision
• Participate in the SQF 2000 Systems' improvement efforts

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient in welding and well-versed in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good planning and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Comfortable with basic computer operation
• Flexibility to accommodate various work shifts

Preferred Experience:
• Minimum 2 years in a maintenance mechanic role
