Qualifications: Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED. Experience in medical office setting preferred.
Job Description:
Knowledge of specific office machines, i.e. lab tests, hearing/vision, peak-flow meter, CBC, pulse oximetry, EKG, suture removal, fax/copier/computer applicable for job. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, walk, lift up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of pediatrics and adolescents
Ability to communicate with children according to age. Ability to communicate with parents effectively. Work effectively with physicians and co-workers. Be a team player & have a positive attitude.
Triage patients in office for physician exam. Assist providers as needed during patient exams/situations. Order/perform selective lab tests per lab protocol and/or provider ordered. Complete forms needed by patients for daycare, schools, college, WIC, etc. Assist in “In-Office Telephone Triage” as needed/requested. Per orders, perform hearing/vision, peak flow, pulse oximetry, nebulizer treatments, EKG, and other procedures as requested. Inventory refrigerators/freezer, medication cabinets for outdated meds – keeping in neat order and rotating stock. Maintain daily logs of refrigerators/freezer. Keep exam rooms clean & stocked. Performs other duties as assigned
