Overview

Job Specifics:

  • Perform history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans for patients with various gastrointestinal and liver disorders
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on disease prevention, management, and lifestyle modifications
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate care with two physicians and other members of the health care team
  • Position is M – F 8 to 5

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
  • Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in gastroenterology or a related field - preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel to different locations within the region as needed with a primary work location of Danville IL
