Turlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is currently looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join our dealership family! The Service Manager is responsible for all operations within the service department, from hiring and managing technicians, service advisors and service administration, to customer service. The Service Manager must ensure that customers receive courteous and effective service. The Service Manager serves as a connection between our technicians and our customers.

The service manager is also responsible for:

  • Manage Business Complexity
  • Manage and analyze departmental financial data
  • Forecast and establish goals and objectives for the Service Department
  • Make and implement decisions to accomplish goals
  • Organize and understand all information pertaining to the department to ensure an efficient and profitable department
  • Utilize all available information to ensure proper resolution of problems
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business
  • Monitor repair order trends (e.g., number of orders completed, dollar sales per order, etc.)
  • Establish practices to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient department operations
  • Resolve all dispute and difficulties with professionalism and composure
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously in order to meet and exceed deadlines and expectations

Manage and Hire Technicians and Service Advisors

  • Create a positive environment by recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, motivating and rewarding Service Department employees
  • Distribute work between technicians
  • Prioritize required services
  • Ensure customer has a positive dealership experience
  • Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled
  • Spend quality time building relationship with the customer

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year experience as a Service Manager in a dealership setting
  • ADP/CDK or AUTOMATE experience preferred
  • Technical Automotive knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to manage others
  • Organized and Friendly personality
