Case Manager/Family Liaison for State Prison in Ione, CA.

This is a Friends Outside contract position with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation providing inmate services and programs to incarcerated men and support to their loved one.

What we do in prisons:

Friends Outside Family Liaison Services Specialists provide evidence based programs and services face to face and in group settings to incarcerated people and their loved ones, strengthening families, reducing recidivism, and bringing back hope to people in despair through:

• Parenting Education and family liaison services
• Visiting support
• Navigating family and reentry resources and sources of community support
• Creative Conflict Resolution groups (Part of the Alternatives to Violence Program Network)
• One on one preparation for release

Required Qualifications:

• Approved criminal clearance (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation)
• Two year college degree OR two cumulative years of documented experience demonstrating a work history in the area of social service work or related fields

Desired Qualifications;

• Prior Experience working with incarcerated people and/or their families.
• Two years experience facilitating groups.

Compensation: $20.00 an hour, 20 hours per week

Job Type: Part-time, contract may require weekends.
