Lead Cleaner

A Shift Lead coordinate daily operations by delegating job assignments and providing guidance. A Shift Lead provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The Shift Lead makes sure cleaning and maintenance duties are completed. They are responsible for keeping the facility areas clean and safe for all workers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Can be relied on to train new team members 
• When faced with a seemingly unsolvable problem, seek out help and solve the problem before leaving. 
• Clean the assigned area in a distribution or fulfillment center.
• Must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
• Duties will include cleaning and maintaining restrooms, break rooms, carpets and hard surface floors by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Dusting furniture, pictures, ventilation, lights, and blinds, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning windows, restrooms and other normal cleaning and maintenance duties.
• This role will require you to be constantly on the move for an 8-10 hour shift
• Cleaning high and low spaces in a distribution center or warehouse environment
• Provide support for any special projects as assigned by your manager. These special projects, at the determination of your manager, may or may not become part of this position’s primary responsibilities.  
• When the Supervisor is present, the lead worker may also be responsible for directing smaller work groups 
• While disciplinary authority is not given to this position, it is expected that the Lead will report performance issues to the Supervisor. 
• Must be flexible in other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer Service Experience 
• 1 yr of similar work experience
• One year of lead or supervisory experience
