Pharmacist

Part-time pharmacist needed to work 2-3 days per week, alternating between two community pharmacies located in Pembroke and Fayetteville, NC.  Hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.  Pharmacies are open Monday-Friday (no nights, no weekends).  Prior experience preferred.

Job duties include:
- Prescription entry, preparation, and verification
- Review and execution of prescriptions, checking for appropriateness and legality, including prescriber consultation
- Compounding (non-sterile) duties include personalizing prescriptions to meet unique requirements, mixing ingredients, and using math to create new formulations
- Understanding of basic insurance terminology and processes
- Patient counseling in a professional manner to ensure understanding of drug therapy plans and outcomes
- Expertise and willingness to assist patients and provide them with information and high quality professional care
- Providing professional advice on over-the-counter medications/products
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures
