The Opportunity

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing and serving beverages in a professional manner to guest who are attending a banquet function.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Create special experiences one guest at a time.
  • Determines assigned function and checks BEO to find out what type of beverage service is ordered.
  • Sets up portable bar with all the appropriate items: garnishes, glassware, ice, all liquor requested for function, mixes, straws, napkins, etc.
  • Pulls and sets up wine and champagne service for banquet servers for meal functions.
  • Maintains bar supplies and glassware throughout the banquet function.
  • Knows drink recipes, prices, types of beverages available.
  • Responsible for all intake of monies collected.
  • Is aware of, adheres to, local liquor laws and regulations
  • Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security guidelines.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. quality of work product is very important
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
  • Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. and follow all safety procedures
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Less than high school education

Experience: Experience in Banquets

Certifications &

Licenses: Driver’s License required
