Surgical Technician - Part-time

Surgical Technologist  Surgery Center of Wisconsin Rapids is an orthopaedic specialty focused surgery center that is seeking an energetic, experienced, surgical technologist to help us cover short term medical leave and vacations. Mostly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The surgical technologist must have at least one (1) year of on the job experience The surgical technologist performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with instrumentation of surgical intervention.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of instrument processing, sterilizing, and biological monitoring. Actively participates in instrument processing.Demonstrates competence in preparing and cleaning the operating room suites before and between cases.Prepares and pulls supplies for assigned surgical cases.Assist with positioning of patients safely.Handles instruments correctly and checks for proper working conditionAble to maintain an orderly and sterile instrument table.Effectively communicates with the physician and RN in accounting for all sponges, needles, and instruments during and after the procedure.   The Daily Tribune.
