Direct Purchasing Agent with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or aviation with a bachelors Degree

There is a large variety of products that they will be sourcing for but they could include:
-Machine Components
-Fabricated Parts
-Electronics
-Wire Harnesses/Cables
-Stamping
-Compressor Blades
-Propellers

* Engineering background with proficiency in project management a plus.
* Experience with contract negotiation and administration.
* Proven track record in cost reduction and development of strategic sourcing strategies.
* Possess a working knowledge of ERP systems and ability to work with suppliers to track and monitor part shipment and inventory management of components.
* A technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, preferably in Aerospace.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to develop strategic plans, coordinate projects and communicate changes and progress.
* Ability to lead the entire sourcing process from start through completion in coordination with a cross functional team (quality, manufacturing, engineering).
* Flexible and able to generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
* Ability to thrive in pressure filled situations with aggressive time lines.
* Must possess the ability to think both analytically and strategically and then be able to develop and implement strategy.
* Proven analytical problem solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task to manage job responsibilities both within and outside job specifications.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within an international environment.
* Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
