Must have Manufacturing Experience

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Experienced in managing EHS programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Lead EHS Coordinators in the overall EHS process implementation and oversight
  • Develop and sustain systems to drive compliance, continuous injury reduction and environmental performance
  • Maintain working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations and identify all requirements that apply, or may apply to the organization
  • Oversee compliance to all OSHA and State Safety Regulations and support company operations
  • Review and revise internal safety policies and practices, conducts hazard and risk assessments towards the identification and mitigation of risks
  • Develop, review and conduct EHS related training including, but not limited to, Forklift Safety and other mobile equipment, Confined Space Entry, Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication, Ergonomics, Respiratory Protection, Fire Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Hearing Conservation
  • Lead investigations of EHS incidents, root cause analysis, and item closure tracking
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety Management Systems
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining corporate Environmental, Health and Safety programs
  • Developing training modules, e-learning tools and training of personnel in EHS topics
  • Experience coordinating and conducting EHS audits
  • Hands on exposure to Accident and Incident investigation, analysis and reporting
  • Understands investigation outcome, corrective measures and analysis of trends
  • Experience with incident management programs and regulations
  • Spearheading the EHS improvements within the company / plants, and assists with identifying, conceptualizing, and implementing improvement projects related to EHS
  • Hands on experience of monitoring and measurement of EHS performance
  • Provide regular input and feedback with respect to the development of corporate EHS strategic and tactical plans
  • Regularly visits assigned locations to:
    • Carry out EHS Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification Audits
    • Assist location personnel in the implementation of corporateEHS standards and practices
      • Establish permanent Health and Safety files for all units
      • Participate in continuing professional education, staying current and competent in the respective EHS profession.
      • Position reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • B.S. Degree in Occupational, Safety Health and Environmental, Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent along with EHS related certifications
      • Safety regulatory compliance experience
      • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State and related regulations and procedures
      • Demonstrated success with passion for change and relentless focus on execution
