Currently hiring for an Electro-mechanical Technician for a medical device manufacturing company near the Warrendale, PA area! This position will be paying $19.50/hr!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as a technician in administering production non-conformities and the necessary reprocessing.
- Serves as a technician in performing Engineering builds in a prototype environment
- Sets up, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment to minimize defects or errors
- Interfaces with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Facilities, and other production departments to assist in resolving various operational issues and to maximize employee output.
- Checks and inspects all equipment periodically to determine the need for repair or preventative maintenance.
- Carries out preventive maintenance on production equipment, or systems as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Cleans and organizes work area to ensure both operating and safety conditions.
- Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards.
- Uses critical thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures.
- Responsible to communicate with employees and management as to potential problems that need addressing or opportunities that may be acted upon.
- Performing defect evaluations of parts from production and from the field
Work Environment:
Modern Medical Device manufacturing facility in Warrendale. Clean, organized, well lit, climate controlled. Site handles 5-10 different products with assembly areas, test, shipping and warehouse and engineering and support offices.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar field
- Electro-mechanical assembly and test experience required
- Basic analytical, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and training skills; basic mechanical aptitude.
- Proven sound judgment, values driven, continuous innovation and improvement and adaptability skills.
- Demonstrated high performance orientation and detail orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organization and teamwork skills, including strong customer focus.
