Aerotek is currently working with one of our clients in the Gulf Breeze, FL area to identify a Program Manager. This is an immediate need. Experience within the defense industry, aerospace, or manufacturing a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs) for internal and external customers
  • Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs); coordinate and develop proposals and related documentation
  • Plan schedule, budget and stakeholder communication plan for engineering projects as assigned
  • Leads engineering project teams to ensure proper communication and understand of roles, responsibilities, and deadlines
  • Identify, record and act on project risks as soon as possible to prevent or mitigate adverse technical and programmatic effects
  • Track project progress, provide weekly status of assigned projectsand support monthly program management reviews
  • Facilitate the timely completion and delivery of contract deliverable products
  • Organize and oversee Avalex milestone events both internal and external to ensure all milestone objectives are met
  • Manage assigned contracts to ensure that all modifications are documented and that all obligations to the customer are fulfilled
  • Team with Operations, Engineering and Business Development to ensure that all are informed and involved in decisions affecting their areas.
  • Manage all customer expectations and communications professionally
  • Cradle to grave responsibility for project outcomes
  • Identify and capture/escalate follow on business opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in program management, engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of program management in an engineering environment required
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Successful track record in managing design and development projects
  • Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Exceptional handling of customer service expectations to ensure that customer are communicated with in a professional manner
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel & Project
  • Experience in providing cost/benefit analysis and reporting
  • Ability to learn DoD contracting process, contract management principals
  • Ability to learn WBS, Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Management
