About this job

Shift:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities
* Timely, accurate, and thorough completion of medical documentation upon patient intake (including identified standards for documentation - i.e. mammogram, colonoscopy, smoking, etc)
* Ability to utilize computer/computer software for pertinent patient documentation, providing documentation to patient as needed (i.e. patient plan). This includes pertinent training as necessary from time to time
* Adhere to policies/procedures for patient medications and testing - refilling patient medications according to protocols (SMPG policies) only as appropriate
* Electronic communications with patients, when desired (in keeping with established policy standards)
* Participate in group huddles to assure continuity of care .
* Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
* Timely management of patient needs/requests ( including phone calls) in accordance both with policy and established PCMH standards
* Maintain pertinent logs of work performed as detailed by Clinic Manager/Director
* Adhere to clinic specific competencies (checklist)

Work Environment: Will work near hospital in a Family Practice with high volume of patients
Will work under supervision of the physician
Attire: scrubs
Qualifications: Must Have:
For Medical Assistants:
Must be a Certified Medical Assistant License
1-2 years of clinical experience as a medical assistant (experience must be within the past 6 months)
current BCLS license obtained through the American Heart Association
Performance Expectations: Must have a great attendance record at previous places of employment.
Must have a great attitude
Must be able to adapt quickly to changes
