About this job

Hiring a Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join our team and manage assigned projects and provide guidance in troubleshooting problems of machinery, equipment, building, or in the facility. This role will help redesign and manage repair or rebuild of plant equipment to overcome difficulties, correct improper function, and/or meet new requirements.

Job Duties:

* Plan and coordinate the design and layout of equipment in order to optimize the use of available space and improve production, operating efficiency and safety.
* Estimate costs, including equipment, installation, materials, labor, etc.
* Monitor and manage the construction/installation process while working with internal maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
* Make equipment design layouts and specify material handling equipment that utilize the principles of stress analysis, mechanics, kinematics, machine and tool design, strength of materials, and other physical sciences.
* Work from ideas, concepts, sketches, layouts, instruction, or specifications.
* Responsible for accuracy, mathematical computations, and functional correctness of designs.
* Lead or work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, draftsmen, maintenance, contractors, machine operators, and/or representatives of other company departments.
* Manage assignments as given and direct technical work of a small group (1 or 2) of designers, draftsmen, and/or other Engineers.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
* 4 years of experience working in Engineering Design, Project Management and or Technical Work- Solidworks experience preferred
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Exceptional interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long term solutions
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
