R&D Technologist (Food)

R&D Technologist needed for food manufacturer in Ontario, CA. Duties include:

• Develop new and existing products from lab to plant commercialization.
• Understand trends - help deliver innovative, high quality and cost effective products.
• Formulation of new and revised products.
• Sourcing raw materials.
• Process identification.
• Sensory evaluation.
• Establishing shelf life.
• Development of standards.
• Project documentation.
• Interaction with customers, ingredient suppliers, production and various internal departments.
• Assist with in-plant implementation of new products

Basic qualifications for R&D Technologist include:

• BS in Food Science related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years' experience of product development and R&D formulation
• Experience in generating nutritional data using Genesis.
• This individual must be self-motivated, have strong leadership skills and have a passion for food and beverage product development.
• Experience with HACCP/ SQF/ FDA/ Kosher/ Organics
