About this job

*This position is responsible for the daily production welding in a manufacturing environment. This includes monitoring work for quality, timeliness, problem solving and decision making on routine work. Lifting requirements: up to 40 lbs., loading and unloading fixtures on a regular basis.
*Locates weld locations on blueprints and other schematic drawings for the sub-assembly or assembly.
*Arranges parts and structures of common weldments, usually guided by patterns or fixtures. Verifies that layouts comply with drawings and symbols.
*Loads, unloads, and places into position a variety of welding fixtures, depending on the production team needs.
*Measures distances using precision devices. Verifies accuracy by comparing to measurement specifications.
*Prepares welding equipment for proper usage. Verifies proper energy source and supplies. Prepares the layout of equipment to perform as needed. Moves equipment in to proper location to maximize safety, function, and quality.
*Assures that welds conform to Genie quality standards and product specifications
