Hiring a Mechanical Engineer to assist the Principal Engineer in the execution of a computer program that generates cutting summaries to select hobbing and grinding machines and generates machine set up and inspection data for spur and helical gearing at our various facilities. As well as drawing review, creation and editing of input data files for cutting summaries, calculation of hob and grinding wheel breakout values, calculation of raw material sizes based on material and part size, drawing markups for finished gears and pinions as well as raw material drawings.
In addition the successful candidate will work with our SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD package to redraw and revise gear and pinion drawings based on the above calculations, work with our Product Data Management system to retrieve and update drawings, create engineering change notices in MS Office, update part descriptions in our SAP Enterprise software system, create and edit bills of materials for pinions and gears, and release revised drawings into our drawing management system.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Computer proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word; and Adobe Acrobat software.
* Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD package for creation and revision of existing drawings.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Experience in .net programming
