Machine Operator
As a general rule, employees start out at level one within their respective job position/classification. As new skills are acquired and requirements are satisfied, the employee can progress through the levels until they reach level three or are promoted/transferred to a different job position/classification. A team leader at any of the three levels will have additional responsibilities outlined below.
Machine Operator – Level One
Machine Operator– Level Two
Machine Operator – Level Three
1. Perform all the duties required of a level two Machine Operator.
2. Train others on auto welding equipment.
3. Train others on the operation of the MPM pipe profiling machine.
4. Train others on how to operate the roll and cut grooving equipment.
5. Begin training for tack-welding per AWS using the GMAW-P process.
Team Leader
Hours: 3:30 PM - Midnight
As a general rule, employees start out at level one within their respective job position/classification. Machine Operator – Level One
- Operate the manual blast room equipment.
- Begin training on operation of MPM pipe profiling machine for cutting and profiling fittings.
- Begin training on roll and cut grooving of pipe for fittings.
- Learn how to complete the paperwork required for the operations.
Machine Operator– Level Two
- Perform all the duties required of a level one Machine Operator.
- Load, operate and unload the automatic blast machine.
- Operate the auto welding equipment for welding of coupling shoulders and flanged adapter nipples.
- Operate MPM pipe profiling machine without assistance.
- Perform all cut and roll grooving operations for fittings.
Machine Operator – Level Three
1. Perform all the duties required of a level two Machine Operator.
2. Train others on auto welding equipment.
3. Train others on the operation of the MPM pipe profiling machine.
4. Train others on how to operate the roll and cut grooving equipment.
5. Begin training for tack-welding per AWS using the GMAW-P process.
Team Leader
- Verify availability of materials and supplies for in-process work orders.
- Ensure hourly employees assigned to work orders or indirect labor tasks stay on track to maintain proper work flow.
- Communicate resource requirements and issues to shift supervisor.
- Clarify work order requirements and provide guidance and/or training to hourly workers as required.
- Ensure required documentation is completed and is accurate.
Hours: 3:30 PM - Midnight
