Inside Sales Associate - Part-time

Inside Sales Associate (Part Time) The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for the selling of all various classified advertising. Duties include processing ads and pages to be scheduled within the classified and/or the Retail section of the paper. These ads will be managed through email, telephone, and front-counter contacts with our customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Exceed digital and print goals, including monthly and special section. - Sell to inbound callers on the incoming phone line, with the purpose of uncovering client needs for the each call. - Perform timely, outbound calls and lead follow-up with the purpose of obtaining new customers and growing existing customers. - Interacts with existing customers primarily by phone and/ or email to increase sales of our products and services. - Provide superior customer service by responding quickly and accurately to our customers concerns or needs. - Provide back-up assistance for other team members during vacation and absences - React to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned. - Develop a deep understanding of competitive media; become proficient in selling against other media in the marketplace. - Understand our unique selling position and our value. Become proficient at back-end systems to provide optimum customer service. - On-site, regular and reliable attendance is required. NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Excellent customer service and sales skills. - Sell effectively over the phone. - Strong communication skills both verbal and written. - Ability to understand and manage sales goals throughout the month. - Positive and professional attitude, able to relate well with many types of people. - Solid computer skills and ability to learn our products and services. - Business/professional telephone skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Call center experience a plus. Job Location: Greensboro, NC. Position Type: Part-Time.
