This is a Maintenance Position. Must be willing to work outside your craft and multi task.

Must be willing to work overtime. Overtime may be assigned on short notice due to production

Insulator Job Description

Work under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience.

As directed by Foreman, may load, transport, unload, and furnish journeyman with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials during installation. May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment. Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person. Workers should be able to: Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; evaluate information using measurable standards. Physically, workers must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction). High school diploma preferred. Description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job. The description shall not, however, be construed as a complete listing of all miscellaneous, incidental or similar duties which may be required.

Must be familiar with installing poly-iso, arm-a-flex, calcium silicate, and other insulation materials. Have the ability to cut miters, use table cutter, bender, and install metal jacketing. Perform & deliver quality workmanship.
