Golf Shop Member Services Attendant

We are seeking a Part-Time Golf Shop Member Services Attendant to join our team! You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues.

General Purpose of the Position:

Displays, demonstrates and sells golf merchandise and related items, ensuring that the shop operation is functioning well and that all phases of service and their execution are optimal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advises member’s and guests about attire, golf clubs and supplies, etc.
• Greet members for golf play, making sure that they conform to the rules and regulations established by the Board of Governors and the Executive Golf Committee. Properly charges members and according to starting sheets, assigns members to appropriate course and time.
• Notifies starter of member changes and/or cancellations.
• Cares for merchandise in pro-shop and assists members while shopping. Places new merchandise on shelves, racks or display stands. Keeps stock neat and orderly.
• Assists with special promotions and sales.
• Opens and closes Golf Pro Shop as scheduled.
• Handles all member charges and knows the proper methods, as directed by the shop manager.
• Issues receipts for all transactions.
• Responsible for signing members in for tournaments and informing director of any immediate or potential problems.
• Schedules tee times.
• Responsible for phone coverage, provide messages to appropriate parties on a timely basis, and/or member follow-through on inquiries. Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondences and faxes.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, members, guests and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Completes other assignments requested by the Golf Pro Shop Manager. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, safety rules and guidelines, work procedures and instructions.

• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields.

• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking.

Additional Details:
Rate of pay will be in the range of $11.00 - $12.00 based on experience.
