Job Description

Security Operations Center Analyst:

  • Conduct regular monitoring of online open sources, social media platforms, & client specific intelligences gathering tools for known and potential threats to company security, client personnel, general operations, or reputation
  • Conduct in-depth research on a wide range of issues pertaining to global security, such as: terrorism, natural disasters, crime trends, as well as international politics and economies to understand potential impact to areas where the client has operational interests
  • Monitor geopolitical events that may impact executive travel, company events, and/or operations, and provide periodic and timely reporting
  • Effectively analyze relevant threats and produce actionable intelligence deliverables in a timely manner for all LinkedIn-relevant incidents
  • Create intelligence reports and products, including but not limited to threat assessments and travel risk assessments
  • Review and provide recommendations on the various tools used both by the Security Operation Center (SOC)
  • Gathering and maintaining database of statistics across the overall operation via manual and approved software base methods
  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Perform other related duties and special project functions as assigned
  • Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector security community stakeholders
Knowledge & Experience Required:
  • A.S./B.A. degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong background in intelligence gathering, analysis and reporting
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficient on Word, Excel, Outlook
    • SharePoint and OneNote a plus
  • Excellent notetaking skills as the SOC Analyst will attend the calls and take the notes during Incident Management Team (IMT) meetings
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Familiarity with standard security communication protocols and equipment
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform multiple tasks in a challenging or crisis environment, while making sound and practical decisions
  • The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality towards all security-related matters
