Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand business needs and drive the development & delivery
- Architect, develop, validate and communicate web application solutions on modern technology stack with Hadoop, Cloudera, Impala, SOLR, Mongo DB, Node.JS, AngularJS, CSS3, Backbone JS, React JS etc.
- Understand design constrains and create elegant solutions to both present and deliver information for easy consumption.
- Define standards, procedures and best practices for web application design & development.
- Provide L4 support for applications in a production environment.
- Learn and gain deep understanding of SHC business processes.
- Lead re-engineering efforts for existing application to align them with new standards and guidelines.
- Endorse open source tools, business intelligence & techniques in development and release process.
- Harness operational excellence & continuous improvement with a can do leadership attitude.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Econometrics or equivalent/related degree.
- End to end web application development experience with 7+ yrs. total experience with at least 1+ year experience architecting and building Web Applications using AngularJS extensively.
- Extremely proficient with JS Framework such as AngularJS and experience / knowledge of MEAN Stack framework or other frameworks like Backbone JS, React JS etc.
- Hands on experience in writing Angular JS Controllers, Services, Factories, Directives, Routers and Filters.
- Hands on experience with data visualizations in JS SPAs using D3 and jqCharts.
- Expertise in setting up task and test runners in JS apps using Gulp/Grunt/Karma.
- Experience delivering quick mockups using HTML5/CSS3, PineGrow/wireframe prototypes
- Clear understanding of OOP applied to JavaScript
- Building well-structured UI components that follow best practices
- Understanding of Core Java concepts, Service Oriented Architecture and how to integrate front end to backend services in Restful APIs
- Possess deployment experience with JBoss, TomCat, IBM Web Sphere and IIS.
- Familiarity and experience in Source Version controlling. Git/ Git Bash/ Git Hub / Tortoise SVN / Tortoise Git /IBM Clear Case.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a highly dynamic environment with result oriented mindset.
- Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an unstructured and fast-paced environment, and have a high degree of self-management with clear communication and commitment to delivery timelines.
- Proven interpersonal, communication and presentation skills - must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience.
- Above average capabilities with common analytics tools and Microsoft Office suite.
