The Vice President (VP) of Sales Strategy and Analytics is a key member of a team charged with maximizing FLEETCOR's revenue generation. This person will be responsible for diagnosing key issues facing our sales teams, framing the issues, performing necessary analysis, making the recommendations to stakeholders, and then managing the implementation of changes. As a senior leader within our organization, this person will be expected to work autonomously, interfacing with other senior business leaders, including Presidents of the various lines of business, sales and marketing leaders, and other cross-functional leaders. With input from the SVP, Sales Operations, the VP will independently identify and frame up key issues, design, direct and conduct supporting analysis, gather the data needed to develop recommendations, drive consensus, and manage the process from end-to-end. 

Reporting to this role will be a Director of Sales Strategy and Analytics. Together, these two roles form an internal consulting team focused on issues impacting sales effectiveness and revenue generation. At the direction of senior business leaders, this team will be deployed into different North American business units to address critical issues. Additionally, the team may partner with other functional areas within Sales Operations: Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Compensation, CRM- on major projects, bringing expertise in framing complex issues, driving analytical rigor, and managing the execution.

Qualifications: 
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic consulting background being highly valued.
  • Must be able to comfortably work in large and ill-defined data sets, identifying trends, and underlying drivers. Must be able to build moderately complex models and dashboards in Excel.
  • Superior written/verbal communication skills with the ability to craft materials/tools that will explain complex issues for executive audiences.
  • Solid project management skills. Must be able to manage multiple, longer-duration projects at once- inclusive of management of own activities as well as influencing others.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders. 
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business administration, management information systems, or similarly technical field. MBA strongly preferred.
  • Three (3) years of post-MBA experience preferred or ten (10) years of total business experience in an analytical business functions.
  • Successful candidates for this role will likely have a background in Corporate Strategy, Sales Operations, FP&A, or a similarly analytical function.
