Summary:

We are looking for multiple Branch Managers in the Northern Virginia area who will be responsible for planning, administering, and controlling day-to-day branch operations. (He) or (she) must be able to encourage and develop teamwork, motivate, and achieve top performance from personnel.

All candidates MUST have prior electrical distribution and management experience. The Branch Managers will be responsible for leadership, motivation, direction, recruiting, and training branch team members so they are able to serve customers effectively and profitably.

The Branch Manager must also meet or exceed total sales, and net income targets. Oversee overall branch operations and growth: includes inventories and safeguarding branch assets.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Design and implement programs to maximize net profit and return on sales.
  • Monitor customer service levels, and take action to improve service as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels, and promote the sale of obsolete and overstocked material.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers and suppliers.
  • Monitor competitive conditions in the territory, and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Direct and coordinate sales efforts within assigned branch
  • Assist with account development and make support calls on customers as necessary.
  • Stay abreast of current markets served, industry trends, new products, market prices, customers, vendors and competitors.
  • Maintain contact and friendly relationships with suppliers and customers, building a favorable company image and resolving problems and complaints as they arise.
Job Requirements:
  • Electrical wholesale experience preferred
  • Management experience preferred
  • Ability to manage P&L operation
  • Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products including, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Exec, etc.
  • Demonstrated sales and operations experience in electrical distribution.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to share information.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
