Maintenance Technician-2nd Shift-Shelbyville, KY-$21.80 - Full-time / Part-time

We are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician!
- $21.80 per hour
- 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm
- Temp to Hire
This position requires hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience. Experience in an automotive manufacturing facility is preferred.
High School or GED Equivalent is required
1-2 years Maintenance Experience required



Requirements

Essential Functions:
- Under general supervision, repairs and maintains buildings, machinery, and electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Repairs and maintains in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers- specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture to parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts. Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Analyzes cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and implements preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Uses applicable reference material at the direction of the supervisor and may be required to use specialized reference material.

This position is in a factory environment with moving equipment and varying temperatures
