Sales Associate responsibilities consist of but not limited to:PresenceGreet customers and let them know you are available to assist them. Your presence will let them know they are being watched, especially in fitting rooms. This will aid in preventing shoplifters from successfully stealing from the stores.If for any reason you notice a guest who seems suspicious, please bring it to management's attention immediatelyFloor MaintenanceBefore the stores open in the morning, familiarize yourself with the merchandise that is on the floor.Knowing where pricing lists are set up around the store and learning pricing for items.Merchandising throughout the day.Keeping floors clear of clothing, shoes, hangers, trash, shopping bags, etc.Throw/rip any lost coat check tickets away and return lost items to management.Restocking and replenishing accessories and clothing when needed.Fitting RoomsMaintaining cleanliness in and around fitting rooms.Escorting guests to specific areas in rooms and hanging clothing for them on racks.Consistently clearing items women/men are no longer trying on to aid in faster turnover. Organizing and rehanging any go backs on designated racksPlacing time limits when needed.Maintaining how many people are in the fitting rooms at a time. Assisting guests who need different sizes.Customer ServiceAssisting clients finding specific sizes or items.Offering shopping bags when necessary.Placing larger items behind register when necessary (bedding, assisting pregnant women or guests in wheelchairs, etc).Inviting guests to future sales and acknowledging other store locations.Coat Check-Responsibilities consist of but not limited to:General Requirements:Making sure all jackets and large bags are checked in and guests handed a coat check ticket. Informing guests that they are able to keep wallets and cellphones.Offer shopping bags before they enter the store.Verifying tickets with personal belongings when guests are retrieving items.Maintaining a clean and organized coat check area at all times.Making sure guests are not leaving with store shopping bags.If guests lose coat check tickets, verify items in the bags with them before handing anything over Offering umbrella bags when necessary.CashiersResponsibilities consist of but not limited to:Setup/VIP DaysOverseeing all items are scanning at correct discounts before opening.Making sure IPads are syncing throughout the day to maintain updated pricing and CLU information.Informing management of any errors with pricing and CLUs.Setting up each station with proper flyers, staplers, CLU sheets (when appointed) and email sign up sheets (IPad set up at coat check) at Cash RegistersBalancing the drawers with management when needed.Filling out the designated cash logs at the start and end of shifts.Being sure to be the only associate on that til for the entire day (unless your break is being covered)Maintaining a clean work space.Keeping the registers organized and clear of all merchandise (above and below counter)Making sure floor is clear of debris and hooks are emptied from go backsStock shopping and garbage bags before opening and as needed throughout the dayRegularly clean IPads,credit card machines and computers with proper productsGeneral RequirementsMaking sure IPads and scanners are charging throughout the day.When logging into the POS, make sure you're using the correct number and password corresponding with that IPadWhen there is downtime at the registers, assisting on the sales floor is emphasized.When cashiering, making sure all store shopping bags are completely cleared.People are more inclined to place smaller items in the bags with their wallets and cellphones and place everything back in their personal bags when checking out of coat check.When there are shoes during a sale, check sizing is the same and a shoe per foot.Invite guests back for upcoming sales with flyers and promotional material.
