Position Overview

Quad/Graphics is seeking a Machinist, responsible for the machining of parts for production equipment using CNC machining centers. The Machinist adheres to high quality standards and performs work in accordance with company standards, including active involvement in the organization’s Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the operation and set up of CNC Mills with 3 axis controls
  • Must provide own Measuring Tools
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
  • Experience working with Overhead Cranes a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Kaizen principles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazak, Hass, or similar controls.
  • Set controls to regulate machining factors such as feed, speed, coolant flow, enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit CNC machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions, and adjust machine control as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills to confer with production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly issues.
  • Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
