Position Title: Technical Professional Leader -- Mechanical
Position Description
KBR is seeking a Technical Professional Leader -- Mechanical. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* The TPL performs as a project discipline lead and provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice. Responsibilities include piping & pipe support design, drawing and calculation checks, pipe specification, materials selection, and generation of related calculations involving fluid flow, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and statics. More specific calculations include stress analysis (using Caesar II Software), ASME code wall thickness, beam formulas, pipe sizing, and pump sizing calculations. Job tasks will impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability and operations. Minimal travel to job sites is required. Must be able to climb ladders/stairs and perform on site design work at industrial facilities. A working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, Sect. VIII is required. A PE license is preferred, but FE is acceptable as a minimum. Pulp & Paper experience preferred, but not required.
Requirements
* Skills are typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 15 years.
