Job Description:

3M is seeking a Product Responsibility Liaison for the Communications Markets Division (CMD) located in Austin, Texas.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Product Responsibility Liaison will manage CMD's overall Environmental, Health, Safety and Product Responsibility programs for Life Cycle Management/Enterprise Risk Management; and provide leadership and direction to International Product Responsibility Liaison resources within the Division. The ideal candidate will become 3M's Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Division owned product EHS regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Manage EHS input to NPI/MOC programs for Life Cycle Management/Enterprise Risk Management assessments.

* Provide leadership/direction to international PRL's who focus on CMD products.

* Provide subject matter expertise for division owned product EHS regulatory requirements.

* Collaborate with Corporate Toxicology and Compliance Services for corporate owned regulatory expertise as applicable to CMD product lines.

* Create and manage SDS's/labels for CMD chemical products in CDMS.

* Identify and track product global EHS regulations related to all CMD products.

* Communicate product EHS regulatory requirements and trends to business units and management.

* Act as the CMD raw material coordinator.

* Act as the CMD waste management coordinator.

* Act as the CMD UL coordinator.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.

* Minimum of four (4) years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas: Environmental, Health, Safety, Regulatory Requirements, Product Stewardship, Product Responsibility, and/or Materials Compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, technology, or engineering

* Experience with hardgoods/electronic product compliance requirements.

* Experience with chemical and article product compliance requirements.

* New product development experience and an understanding of related functions including supply chain and sourcing.

* Experience working on both multifunctional teams and international teams

Location: Austin, Texas

Travel: May include up to 5 to 10% domestic/international travel
