Job DescriptionKelly Services is seeking a Site Operations Manager for a top company in downtown Chattanooga. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, support and strategic direction to the mail center department. This positions will supervisor staff and support clients in the areas of mail, shipping and document output services. The Site Operations Manager is responsible for business planning and day-to-day operations management of Distribution Services. Facilitate training, continuous improvement, customer service and communications initiatives. Overall management of functions related receipt and delivery of incoming, outgoing, interoffice and field mail; receipt and delivery of incoming freight and local courier packages. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:- Business planning and day-to-day operations management of mail and document output services- Facilitate training, continuous improvement, customer service and communication initiatives- Overall manager of the receipt, delivery and processing of outgoing, incoming, interoffice mail, freight and packages, domestic and international, also,copying, reprograhics and other copier related support functions- Scheduling, time reporting, and performance review for mail center staff - Managing incoming mail sorting and processing- Daily interaction with clients and suppliers- Daily management of customer service and support activities- Equipment and supplies control, management, and maintenance- Daily collection and reporting of individual staff and unit level productivity and performance, service and support statistics- Providing input to distribution services processes and design additions, staffing changes andother ad-hoc duties that may arise from time-to-time on an ongoing basis- Ensures employees meets standards of performance. Identify opportunities to add value through process streamlining and effective use of technology. - Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plan for distributions services. - Establish and facilitate focus groups to gather client requirements, respond to service level concerns and develop specifications for new programs and processes. - Ensure knowledge of current and relevant industry practices.- Actively participate in industry associations and benchmark mail services offerings in the industry. - Scheduling, time reporting, and performance review for shipping and receiving staff. - Managing incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving activities.- Daily interaction with customer and vendors/suppliers at all different levels.- Daily management of customer service and support activities.- Equipment and supplies control, management, and maintenance.- Daily collection and reporting of individual staff and unit level productivity, performance, service, and support statistics.- Providing input and implementation of shipping and receiving process, design additions, and staffing changes.- Other ad-hoc and ongoing projects that may arise from time-to-time.- Track, analyze, and budget for assigned function. - Assist the Director of Customer Operations in the preparation of budget submissions and business plans for each upcoming year.RequirementsEDUCATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: College-level degree in Business Administration or Communication REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:Effective oral and written communications skillsDemonstrate consistency, longevity, and stability in employment and performanceMinimum of 3 - 5 years experience in mail and copy center operationsWorking knowledge of the industry processes, procedures, systems, equipment, etc.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum two (2) years' prior training, teaching, or related Human Resources experience.
