Job DescriptionOverview This position will support a portfolio of capital construction projects. The Document Control Specialist position collects, maintains, and distributes all documents necessary to define capital project configuration and support construction and manufacturing processes that insure conformance to customer / end user requirements; develops and maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center; manages the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner. Essential Functions Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define project configuration and support construction and manufacturing processes that insure conformance to customer / end user requirements. Included, but not limited to Construction drawing files, Purchasing files, Equipment files, and General Project Administrative files. Develops and maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the project document control center for the life of the project. Timely receipt, status update in system log, and distribution of latest revision of appropriate documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution. Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents. Perform general clerical duties to generate documents as necessary to support project needs. Specific Position Requirements Excellent organizational skills Good verbal and written communications skills. Competency in general use of MS Office software including at a minimum MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. Previous experience in use of JD Edwards software data entry a plus.
