Buyer - Full-time / Part-time

Our client, the largest Managed Healthcare, for profit firm, is currently seeking a Buyer for a 6 month temporary position with the opportunity for an extension and permanent placement.  The position is located in Indianapolis, IN.  By working for our client, you will be exposed to a large company (listed on the NYSE), work for a leader in health care solutions, work in a fast paced corporate environment and be an integral part to the Purchasing team. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: Sources commodities and services. Identifies and implements strategies for cost savings through negotiation, process improvement, item substitution, etc. Identifies market trends pertaining to commodities being managed and sourced. Develops and manages relationships with vendors and internal customers. Manages vendor performance. Works with contract teams, tracking, reviewing and recording missing information.  Prepares reports and analyses around commodities managed.
