Today, we are proud to offer a temporary opportunity to work as an Order Picker/Forklift Operator for a distribution center in northeast Portland, Oregon.Position Summary: Operate warehouse machinery to safely move product load around the facility. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in a warehouse/production setting, and experience operating an order picker (forklift experience a plus). Must have technical skills necessary to transport production materials and goods.Responsibilities:- Experience operating an order picker required. - Pick orders manually and/or using warehouse machinery- Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery- Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas- Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport, and stack material- Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure materials or products for transport to designated areasEducation/Experience:- High school diploma or GED required- At least 2 years' manufacturing experience required; forklift experience a plusRequired Skills:- Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods- Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, ability to work as a team member- Ability to exercise moderate independent judgment with guidance from supervisorWe have multiple positions available.
