Chemical Process Technicians- Roberta GA Due to business expansion, our Client seeks experienced Chemical Process Technicians for a LONG-TERM, full-time, on-going assignment with an indefinite end date! Our client is the leading global supplier of epoxy products. There leading technology has been the fundamental building block of robust solutions for diverse applications for more than 50 years Chemical process technician role to produce products used in coatings, wind turbines, road markings, epoxy flooring, carbon-fiber composite and related applications.     This role includes significant handling of chemicals (solids and liquids) to prepare and charge reactors.    Qualified Technicians also package products into drums/pails/totes requiring manual handling of these containers and use of a forklift to move materials. Candidates must be able to work rotation shifts- no graveyard. Week one: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Week two: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Job duties: Work with production technicians to: Perform packaging of chemicals, forklift hauling, sampling of chemicals from process equipment through established operating discipline. Actively participates in all site EH&S initiatives. Follow and understands Isolation of energy standard. Complete Safety and Compliance Checks as directed. Use proper PPE and perform Housekeeping as required. Attends and completes training as directed. Job Performance is monitored by the Operations Leader and Production Engineers. Perform job duties to satisfactory levels in support of the business and the team. This includes prompt arrival at start of shift, appropriate breaks, and adequate communication between shifts to ensure safe and accurate completion of batches. Cooperates with associated functions to support the business: QC Lab, Site Logistics, EH&S and R&D. Knows, understands, and contributes to Plant goals. Keep Operations Leader informed of all attendance issues. Responds to Emergencies, Leak, or Spill as directed by the Immediate Response Leader or Immediate Response Team. Works with the Operations Leader/Production Engineers to properly document Operating Discipline through procedures and training documentation. Ability to work Shift Work. Ability to work effectively with teams and team members. Requirements: Must have Fork Lift experience. Chemical experience. Ability to pass Respirator Fit Test. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Basic proficiency in use of standard Workstation, E-mail. Willing to work Rotating Shifts: 6:00 am-2:30 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Ability to work effectively with teams and team members. Screening Requirements: Driving Record Check for the past 5 years to operate fork truck and pickup truck (valid DL required). Ability to pass a production physical.
