Mechanical Design Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionIn partnership with our Newington, NH customer, Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a six month project. The qualified candidate must be experienced in the areas of tool, fixture and machine design. This position requires a self-starter who can take a project from concept through implementation. Responsibilities: Works under limited direction with considerable discretion as to work details. Responsible for project, from concept to final design, troubleshoots when required. Makes necessary calculations and investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and cost. Responsible for the selection and proper application of materials and tool and machine components such as fasteners, bearings, power transmission and fluid power components. Prepares preliminary, detail and final assembly drawings of devices, mechanisms and assemblies. Responsible for the proper application of fits and tolerances. Requirements: Experienced in the areas of tool, fixture and machine design. Strong knowledge of structural components, power transmission, welding and materials. Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (Pro-E/Creo preferred) and AutoCAD. 7+ Years related experience.
