About this job

POSITION PURPOSE

Working at the world's fourth largest retailer mixes the best of many worlds: cutting-edge technologies applied to business problems, solving real needs for customers who spend billions of dollars across our stores in North America. QuoteCenter is an application Home Depot store associates use to build large product owners for our Pro customers.

Are you a senior, accomplished Engineering Manager looking for a job that does more than just solve a complex business problem? This role is ideal for a Sr. Manager who has conquered much on their bucket list, and is looking for a nimble, startup environment where technology is leveraged to unlock business potential.

What is it like to work at The Home Depot QuoteCenter?

Our engineers use the latest JavaScript (React/Redux, Node), .Net and open source technologies to build new products that facilitate 9-figure project sales at The Home Depot.

We invest proactively in our people. We sponsor developer events, including .Net Fringe, NodePDX and PADNUG, and our developers headline workshops to teach Portland-area web developers how we use cutting-edge technology to solve real world problems at the world’s third-largest retailer. The mission of the QuoteCenter product team is to radically reimagine the shopping experience at Home Depot utilizing the latest web technologies and data tools.

We are searching for a Sr. Manager, Engineering who has climbed their way up through the technical ranks, who is passionate about open source technologies and knows how to lead teams to leverage them in a data-rich environment (thousands of users, millions of customers, billions in sales). The goal of your efforts is to manage, build and lead the collaborative work of our product development team in designing and building out the next generation of our enterprise application.

What problem will you be solving in this role?
