About this job

This position reports to the IT Audit Director and, is responsible for the following:
  • Develop/ analyze scripts, programs, and queries using programming language or structured query language to support continuous auditing/monitoring efforts, Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) usage and assist with special projects and special investigations,
  • Plan, perform and report on Information Technology audits for the company including the following areas: IT Governance, Information Security, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Management, Data Center Operations, Operating Systems/ Application Systems and Disaster Recovery/ Business Continuity Planning,
  • Prepare work papers reflecting the results of audit assignments. Communicates results to appropriate management, including the preparation of audit reports that communicate audit results to management in a clear, concise and substantive manner,
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments and adjusting work plans based on the results of the assessment, and
  • Other duties as assigned.
This position supports the Corporate Audit/Field Audit/ Compliance Department with assistance and development of queries/ scripts for analyzing loan management, loan underwriting and other transactional customer data.

Support :
  • Clearly communicates audit results and obtains management support for recommendations made.
  • Provide query/programming development / analysis to Corporate and Field audit and Compliance Department personnel as needed
Influence:
  • Stay knowledgeable on current cybersecurity, information technology topics and best practices, Company policies and procedures as well as audit guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop working relationships with various information technologies, information security, operations management personnel within the assigned areas.

  • Complete audits/ projects in a timely manner and high quality fashion.
  • Provide support to corporate and field audit in meeting annual audit plan.
  • Display a willingness to take on new and different projects as needed.

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and take initiative to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Manage time effectively to complete projects as scheduled.

  • Maintain strong relationship with audit clients.

Equivalent Education Level Required: Bachelor's degree - Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance/Economics, Business Administration, Statistics Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics and/or other business fields of study.

CISA preferred or must be able to obtain the CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor Certification post hire.

Experience Required: 5 to 7 years' experience in the IT audit field and experience in developing programs, scripts or database queries required.

Knowledge Required:
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office software, automated audit work paper software package such as TeamMate,
  • Significant experience with ACL/SAS/Tableau/SQL or similar data querying language,
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy,
  • Ability to analyze and interpret diverse and complex information, and make sound improvement, recommendations based on the information analyzed,
  • Working knowledge of multiple operating systems, programming languages, database systems,
  • Knowledge of risk and control assessment processes,
  • Must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines and the
  • Initiative to produce high quality work that is value-added to the Corporation,
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills as would be needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email,
  • Adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment,
  • Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills,
  • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products,
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships, and
  • Strong knowledge of information systems and information security controls.
Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time; standing occasionally; walking; bending; squatting; kneeling; pushing/pulling; reaching; twisting; frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.; typing; data entry; grasping; transferring items between hands and/or to another person or receptacle; use of office equipment to include computers; ability to travel to, be physically present at, and complete the physical requirements of the position at any assigned location.

Travel: 10% to 15%
