As a member of the LaQuinta Inn Chula Vista Team, the Front Desk Guest Services Ambassador will have a warm and refined personality, an excellent work ethic and a passion for giving exceptional customer service. The selected applicant will utilize their computer skills to make reservations, manage guest check-ins and checkouts, billing, problem resolution functions and guest room inventory control. As a Front Desk Guest Services Ambassador, you are the right hand person for the Hotel Manager, and will have a great opportunity to learn, develop and grow with this dynamic company. Job Requirements Include:
Minimum one year related guest service experience.
Strong multi-tasking skills and sales skills are mandatory.
Bilingual speaking (English-Spanish) ability a plus.
Must be very flexible with scheduling including the ability able to work Weekends & Holidays.
Job Duties also Include:
Verify credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travel checks, and other forms of payment. Perform accurate, moderately complex arithmetic functions using a calculator.
Complete detailed Bucket Check including the posting any related charges and adjustments to guest rooms and house accounts using the PMS/NiteVision computer system, and complete proper documentation for shift closing.
Check-in/out hotel guests courteously and efficiently: process all payments and billing.
Assist with set up and servicing our Bright Side Breakfast Service.
Provides information to guest/visitor inquiries and coordinates all guest requests for special arrangements or services, courteously and efficiently.
Provides prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all incoming calls and assistance for outgoing calls that transpire through hotel’s PBX.
Schedule and deliver wake-up calls as requested.
Coordinate all emergencies according to established procedures.
Completes daily housekeeping assignments and required maintenance functions.
Strives to reach a higher level of hospitality and provide a level of service commensurate to that of a selective-service hotel. This position effects every department in the hotel.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous hotel experience is required; supervisory experience preferred
• Must be flexible in hours and days worked
• Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must display very good organization and time management skills
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
