JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Build automation scripts to speed quality delivery and reduces manual test effort.
* Deliver solid results for test implementation and infrastructure.
* Create and maintain test scripts using open source automation tools including Selenium.
* Contribute to the evolution of test standards and technology by creating tools, conventions and design patterns that improve the quality of deliverables.
* Develop test plans that translates the client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture.
* Develop and maintain innovative and functional test cases, System and Integration Test cases and other test artifacts including, test data, harness scripts and automated scripts that are used throughout QA cycle.
* Review functional requirements and use cases.
* Develop and automate test cases.
* Create and maintain logical and physical data models that support ongoing test needs of client data limitations.
* Implement test plans that validate test data from small to extremely large scale data volumes on a range of different RDBMS, including DB2 and MySQL, and create audit scripts for data validations.
* Work closely with Test engineering, Development engineering, Performance, Data Abstraction, and Distribution teams to ensure end to end validations.
* Document workflows and results of business analysis.
* Isolate, replicate, report defects, verify defect fixes, strive to reduce internal defects.
* Coordinate activities with the Enterprise Architecture group to establish test governance, patterns, and anti-patterns for Data Abstraction and Distribution.
* Conduct system tests to ensure smooth integration, tracks testing activities.
* Test and monitor online site functionality using site catalyst tools and application performance tools.
* Test applications using APIs, SOAP, REST, Web Services, and XML validations.
* Evaluate query plans to improve performance.
* Establish performance benchmarks to test against each software release.
* Assist in creating realistic project plans and ensuring their timely execution based on proven estimation models and continuous resource tracking.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience performing manual and automated testing of web technologies. Or, alternatively, Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience performing manual and automated testing of web technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise ('DE') writing queries on DB2, MySQL, Oracle, Informix, Cassandra, and mongo dB databases.
- DE testing on Linux and AIX platforms using Linux/AIX commands; and testing developed functionalities using Solr, Kafka, Kibana, LDM and Spark on Linux OS.
- DE testing web services (Restful and SOAP) using XML and JSON; and performing automation of web services using Java.
- DE in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to Agile methodologies, conducting quality assurance planning, and validating test results for web technologies within a retail environment.
- DE in mainframe JCL, CICS, MQ and DB2 queries to retrieve and compare data for mainframe and front end testing.
